The depth of nothingness

In blank eyes he saw the fullness of life, the endless possibilities of being complete and whole.
In a gaping mouth he espied the yawning chasm of helpless life, helpless love.
In glazed pupils he glimpsed the pointlessness of eternity and the immediacy of the moment.

Yes, those were blank eyes. But they were not empty… they yet held so much…because of him, and for him.
