New places are not about comparison, about vis-a-vis.

They are about seeing with the eyes that have been given only to you, the understanding that has been offered only to you, the perspective that only you can see, only you can grasp.

They are about seeing your life through a prism of unfamiliarity; a lens of your own filtered by a world you will never fathom; an understanding of places that will always be your very own; an understanding that you cannot expect to grasp entirely, yet the experience of which you can only keep appreciating, and only hope to do justice to.

And what if you don't like the new place?

Anonymous Thursday, December 01, 2005

well, then you dont, penny. But that doesn't take away from whatever experiences that place may have given you, the perspectives it offered you and the perspective you have seen it through...
